Joseph Egan finally rescued Troopie at around midnight last Saturday (Picture: Caters)A tiny puppy had to be rescued from a drain pipe in a delicate operation by an after-hours plumber.Troopie managed to get wedged inside a bathroom pipe before his fearful owner called for help at around 11pm on Saturday, March 7.

"Most of all, I’m amazed that the sweet little hot mess of a pup that I picked up from a shelter at age 11, who at first didn’t seem like she would be around very long at all, has managed to inspire others to adopt senior dogs," she wrote.

Evan Greathouse, Ollie’s pet parent wasn’t home at the time of the break in; it was just Ollie, Greathouse’s fiancé and Heinz, another Dachshund in the apartment located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Ollie had two animal rescue groups looking for him: Dachshund Rescue of Bucks County and Ruby the Lost Greyhound.
