A Congressional subcommittee has asked that a popular flea and tick collar be recalled after being linked to the deaths of close to 1,700 pets .Democratic representative Raja Krishnamoorthi , of Illinois, who serves as chairman of the subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy, sent pharmaceutical company Elanco a letter on Thursday asking it to recall its Seresto collar.
The recall affects nine total lots of Sportmix products, but this list is subject to change as the FDA and the Missouri Department of Agriculture continue to work with the manufacturer to make sure no other products were affected.The FDA recommends retailers contact consumers who have purchased the recalled pet food to alert them, if possible.
The pet food brand, ‘Stella & Chewy’s,’ is recalling some of their products due to potential listeria contamination. If you are concerned you may have purchased one of the recalled Stella & Chewy’s products, you can look at the lot numbers and UPC codes on the bag.
