New law could order Germans to walk their dogs twice a day

The law is based on evidence that many of the nation’s 9.4 million dogs are not getting enough exercise or stimulation, the country’s agriculture minister, Julia Klöckner, said.Under the new regulations, owners would be required to take their dogs on two walks that last at least an hour in total.
