So much so that he’s not saving his costume for 31 October, instead dressing up as a different character every day in the month of October. So far he’s already taken on the role of Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, Elton John, MC Hammer, Napoleon Dynamite, and Dwight Shrute from The Office. ‘My favorite one is the LaFawnduh one from Napoleon Dynamite,’ said Toad’s owner Amy Herrington, 30.
‘The way he looked down in the photo really captured Kip from the movie.
We use sily characters from our favorite movies.
‘A lot of the clothes we buy are kids’ clothing. We don’t buy them as costumes.’
Toad is a lockdown pup, having been welcomed into the family back in February 2020.While Amy and her husband were stuck inside, they used their time to create a dedicated Instagram and Tiktok page for Toad, to share his cuteness and his costumes with the world.
They decided to take on a month-long Halloween costume challenge for October, and despite already having taken dozens of photos of Toad in his finest clothing, Amy says she’s nowhere near to running out of great costume ideas for the pup.
‘We’re gonna do Willy Nelson,’ said Amy. ‘We also have a blonde wig, so we’re thinking of doing Regina George from Mean Girls. ‘We also want to dress Toad up as Mrs Doubtfire, a garden gnome, and a chia pet. ‘My husband likes Lord of the Rings, so maybe we’ll dress Toad up as Frodo as well.’As a result of Amy’s costuming and Toad’s modeling expertise, Toad’sInstagram page, @goodboy.toad, has already racked up more than 13,000 followers.
Use Dog Toothpaste on a Rope Toy. If your dog doesn’t like having his teeth brushed squeeze some doggie tooth paste onto a rope toy & let them go at it. It’s a nice way to start desensitizing them to having their teeth brushed.
Amy added: ‘Honestly, it’s been really fun to see the instagram grow.
‘I don’t know if any of our posts could be considered viral, but we’ve had a few that got hundreds of thousands of views.’
