Meet the adorable ‘pooperman’ who is safeguarding a mountain of toilet roll, which we know is a precious commodity at the moment.

Sausage dog Sidney has been watching over the loo roll and has vowed to come to the rescue should you run out (he won’t actually, he’s a dog). But in an effort to cheer everyone up, his owner Julia Oldham, 37, has been getting Sydney to pose as ‘pooperman’ and sit on top of the bathroom essentials. Julia has set up an Instagram account for the loveable two-year-old since he was only four months old and the account has since gained an impressive 15,000 followers.
Julia, from Staffordshire, posts daily pictures of Sidney’s latest adventures, from his trips to the Lake District to taking a walk along the sandy beaches.

Sidney regularly works with dog-friendly brands that make accessories, treats and even clothes for your pup.

His followers are made up of many other dog accounts that want to get the latest style inspiration from Sidney.

Julia, a manager for an accessories company, said: ‘I wanted to bring some positivity during this sad time and so decided to set Sidney up with some toilet roll and he loved it.

Your dog needs his own cozy spot as well, preferably a crate, a comfy bed that’s his alone and a selection of appropriate toys.

‘We were sent the bandana by a brand that Sidney regularly works with and it just so happened to come at the perfect time.

‘I had never really been into photography until Sidney came along and I decided to set up an Instagram account for him – I never expected it to become so popular!

‘Sidney has had so many modelling opportunities, he’s a brand ambassador for a dog accessories company and he gets his own promo codes to share with his growing audience.

‘Sidney is like my child so I always have proud “mum” moments when I post a picture of him or he gets some amazing work opportunities – he gets so many that we have actually had to turn some down recently.

‘With everything going on at the moment, I really wanted to spread some positivity and that’s the whole message behind Sidney’s account.

‘And Sidney absolutely loves it, he poses in front of the camera as soon as I take my phone out!’
