A UK police force want help naming puppies after NHS heroes sacrificing their lives on the coronavirus frontline.

West Midlands Police’s dogs division welcomed a new litter of German Shepherds last month, when the country was put on lockdown. The four girls and three boys were born at the dog training centre in Balsall Common and are now four weeks old.

They are yet to be named, with officers asking members of the public for suggestions that show gratitude for NHS workers.
