Wrexham dog attack incident - A 62-year-old man has died after being bitten by a dog at a house in Wrexham earlier today. Emergency services, including the Wales Air Ambulance, were called to the property on Holt Road in Wrexham at 11.33am today (May 23) after the man was bitten and went into cardiac arrest.

A man has died in a dog attack at a home in Wales, with the animal euthanised and others removed.

The 62-year-old went into cardiac arrest after being bitten before midday on Monday.

Paramedics rushed to a property on Holt Road, Wrexham, but could not save him.

The victim’s loved ones have asked for privacy in the wake of the tragedy.

The dog was ‘securely contained at the property and was euthanised by a vet at the scene’.

Other dogs being kept at the house have been removed by trained dog handlers and will be temporarily kennelled.

North Wales Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
