The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco and her husband, equestrian Karl Cook, have paid tribute to their elderly rescue dog Petunia, who died after ‘a life of untold loneliness and hardship’. Kaley, 34, and Karl, 29, are widely known as animal-lovers, with several pets in their home including a recently-adopted senior chihuahua . Earlier this year, the couple adopted a pit bull called Petunia, who had been unable to find a forever home.
On Thursday, Karl revealed that the pup had sadly died, stating that he is ‘happy’ she is now ‘at rest’.

‘After a life of untold loneliness and hardship she is at rest. For that I am happy,’ he wrote in an Instagram post.

‘We did what we adopted Petunia to do better than anyone else, give her everything. She is resting at peace, with everyday’s sunset to warm her. That is what matters most.’

Karl added that it is ‘not the amount of time together’, that matters most, but ‘its effects on the soul’.

‘You affected everyone who met you,’ he wrote in honour of the late pup.

Don’t Let Your Dog Ride in the Back of Your Truck Unrestrained. An estimated 100,000 dogs die each year from riding in pickup beds each year, and that doesn’t take into account all of the injuries seen each year. Dogs in pickup beds are also at risk of being hit with debris that can cause injuries.

‘You’re forever my old lady. I miss you so much already, sleep my sweet angel.’

Kaley also shared a sweet message about Petunia on her Instagram Story, thanking Paws For Life K9 Rescue for rescuing her in the first place.

‘We were so honoured to love her in her final days,’ The Big Bang Theory actor wrote.

‘We love you dear special Petunia! You are the reason we continue to save dogs just like you. And we will never stop.’

In Karl’s Instagram post, he shared several pictures and videos of Petunia, including a photograph of the dog sleeping on a sofa alongside Kaley.

In one video, the dog is shown happily wagging her tail and running on a patch of grass in the sunshine.

Several Instagram users shared messages of condolences for Kaley and Karl in the comment section underneath his post.

‘So sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for rescuing such a special senior and loving her the way she always deserved,’ one person wrote.

‘I’m sorry for your loss but so happy she had wonderful last days with y’all,’ another said.
