A hunt has been launched to find a man who carried a dog through a park by its collar.

The RSPCA is looking into the incident, which took place in Parsloes Park in Dagenham, east London , on March 29. The man was seen carrying the small white Spitz-type dog across the park before he climbed into a black BMW.

He was dressed in a black hat, black jacket and dark-coloured jogging bottoms.

Inspector Chris McGreal has appealed for witnesses and information.

He said: ‘We’d like to speak to the man pictured or anyone who recognises him or the dog.

‘We’d also like to speak to any witnesses to the incident. Anyone with information should call our appeal line on 0300 123 8018 and leave a message for me.’

It comes after a mum and her two children were hospitalised after being bitten by a vicious dog during an Easter egg hunt in another London park.

It's certainly unpleasant to take your dog outside when it's snowing or raining, but don't forget that dogs' paws are just as sensitive to heat as human skin.
