He said: ‘As I opened the door, the three of them came in with balaclavas on, and put an axe to my head, along with a Stanley knife.
‘They told me to get on the ground, they had the Stanley knife to my face and told me “don’t move”.‘Then they went into the living room and grabbed Cairo and ran down the street, and turned left, and jumped into a car.
‘I had no power to do anything and had to watch him get taken off me. It was horrible.’

Caitlin, who was on her way home from work at the time, said they hadn’t taken Cairo for his first walk as he was not yet vaccinated.
She said: ‘It’s not like we’ve been on a walk with him, there are so many dogs in the area, so we know it’s been targeted.
‘I’m devastated and so worried, I can’t believe that someone would come into my own home and do this.
‘If anyone gets a dog I would say don’t post it on Instagram.’
The couple are now offering a £2,000 reward to anyone who brings their puppy back home.
‘We just want him found, and that they take the reward,’ they said.
‘Even if he gets passed to somebody and they take the reward, we don’t care, we just want him back.
‘We had to sleep with the lights on last night, we’re so worried.’
