At home haircuts have become a common occurrence over the past year.

With the closure of salons, we have had to take matters into our own hands with often questionable results.

And it seems the same goes for our pets, with regular grooming services shuttered too.

Now one woman has shared the hilarious result of her attempt at dog grooming on TikTok . User Fernie Montufar thought she could easily cut her own dog’s hair and save $50 in the process. However, it didn’t turn out the way she expected. Following her hilarious effort, Fernie uploaded the finished product in a video that has now received over 4.4 million views.

She captioned the video: ‘Pls for the love of God, don’t come at me. I genuinely did my best and feel horrible. I’m buying her an outfit tmrw.’

The beginning of the clip shows her dog pre-groom with hair intact.

Then it flips to an after shot, and it’s fair to say that it was a very close shave for the pooch.

Viewers were left in stitches at the video with many commenting that the dog ‘changed its breed.’

While another added: ‘The dog looks so disappointed.’

Yet many others thought the transformation was lovely.

Another agreed and added: ‘He looks cuter in the second pic.’
