Declan HorganIf you have an older dog with tooth troubles, add a little water or chicken broth to his or her kibble and microwave for 20 to 30 seconds.
As a kid growing up my mother used to make champ potatoes. I remember there being a magic well in the middle of the potatoes, filled with milk and butter — food of the gods it was! Later, I added the smoked ham hock to elevate the dish, but it's still a taste of childhood, just like mom made.

Declan HorganI love this recipe because in my mind it modernizes one of the all-time classic Irish dishes and showcases what Irish cuisine can become. And because it's a mashup of Irish and Italian cooking techniques, it's funky and cool to serve at home for dinner parties.Reduce Stress. Dr. Becker notes, “The key is to reduce anxiety triggers.” If you have a vet visit, “don’t get the carrier out the night before,” give them a few days to get prepared. If they’re nervous alone or travelling, play soothing music, or draw the shades. The less stimulus pets receive from the outside world, the less anxiety they’ll have about events outside their control.
