Did you know?

Hello, I am from Mumbai. I have a domestic cat as my pet. It's pretty hot here and since last week, I have been observing that my cat prefers lying on the floor rather than the bed. Now, he stays under the bed. I tried giving him a bath but matters haven't changed.

— Arati Gopi

Allow your cat to express his natural behaviour and instinct, let him spend time alone in the place he chooses. Provide him with areas of retreat in a busy household. Cats like enclosed areas, resting and hiding places, soft surfaces, nooks to look out from (shelves, platforms, window sills). You may provide cardboard boxes or commercially available cat beds, where they can rest.
