Watch These Adorable Bunnies Participate in a Yoga Session

Putting the "Om" in OMG.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah, provides education, tours, and events for those who want to get involved and learn more about the work that the no-kill shelter does.

They also happen to hold yoga classes on the first Saturday of every month in which participants get to practice with some adorable, adoptable bunny rabbits.

“Bunny Yoga was created to provide people the opportunity to meet adoptable bunnies in a fun setting,” says Carrie Smith, the manager of the Best Friends Visitor Center. “Many people are unaware that bunnies end up in the shelters, and sadly they are the third most euthanized species in shelters after cats and dogs.”

At the beginning of every bunny yoga session, the instructor introduces the yogis to the adoptable bunnies and, according to Smith, reminds them of the care requirements rabbits need.

“[They discuss] what it takes to provide a proper home for a bunny and the misconceptions around bunnies making good Easter gifts or good ‘starter pets,’ neither of which are typically true,” Smith says.

Participants leave class both educated about the importance of helping bunnies and “relaxed and inspired,” Smith says.

One of the awwww-inspiring sessions was filmed by the Best Friends Animal Society, and it’s clear to see how these amazing animals make for a peaceful, playful space.
