New Louis Vuitton cat-inspired collection launched for animal lovers

Louis Vuitton has created a new line of cat lady-inspired shoes, purses and clothes - and the pieces all features adorable kittens.

The Catogram collection is a capsule collection designed by Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière and former Vogue creative director and avid cat illustrator Grace Coddington, who drew inspiration from their own pets.

The pieces feature hand drawn sketches of Coddington’s Persian cats, Pumpkin and Blanket - and they will turn any person into an animal lover.

In addition to leather handbags and purses, the collaboration features cat-covered scarves, blankets, notebooks, key chains, and hats.

To protect from raining cats and dogs, the pair also created an umbrella embellished with the iconic Louis Vuitton logo and various kittens.

Dog-lovers can also express their love of canines through the French design house’s collection, as Ghesquière’s labrador Léon inspired numerous pieces such as the dog card holder or dog face clutch.

The luxury collection is made even more adorable by the real feline models who helped show off the pieces.

Coddington and Ghesquière’s pet collaboration has been met with adoration online from people who cannot wait to show off their cat-inspired fashion sense.

“I need this,” one person commented on Instagram, while another said: “It’s like they know the way to my heart.”

The 2019 Catogram cruise collection launched is available in stores and online.
