TALK about a purrrr-fect job.

A veterinary clinic in Dublin, Ireland wants to pay you to cuddle with animals.

Just Cats Veterinary Clinic recently posted that they’re hiring a “cat cuddler” to help snuggle and calm anxious kitties during their visit.

“Does cattitude come naturally to you? Have you counted kittens before you go to sleep? Does petting cats make you feel warm and fuzzy?” the job posting reads.

Any prospective candidates will also need to be “softly spoken” and “capable of cat whispering.”

The job’s official title will be determined based on the experience level of the winning candidate. It’ll pay between A$29,970 and A$41,950, but you’ll need the following qualifications:

— The ideal candidate must have gentle hands capable of petting and stroking cats for long periods of time.

— They need to be softly spoken and capable of cat whispering to calm the nerves of some of the in-patients.

— An ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position.

“By helping the cat and the owner to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible when they come to visit, we give our patients the best chance of receiving high-quality health care and continuing to engage with us,” Aoife Caulfield, one of the clinic’s veterinarians, told the Huffington Post.

She added that they’ve already received hundreds of applications from across the world.

Unfortunately, candidates will need a little more than a deep love for cats to get hired. At the bottom of the posting, the clinic specifies that “A veterinary council of Ireland recognised qualification is essential for this role.”
